Thérèse has over thirty years extensive and varied experience in planning, urban regeneration and housing renewal. Prior to joining the practice, she worked for over two years at Gentoo Group, one of the largest registered social landlords, delivering housing renewal and creating mixed-tenure sustainable communities.
Before that Thérèse worked for six years on the international award-winning Grainger Town Project within Newcastle City Centre, delivering investment into Newcastle’s historical fabric and working with the various City Centre interests including the Resident’s Forum, Business Community, Chinese Community, and Youth Forum. Whilst working for Newcastle City Council Planning Department, Thérèse worked extensively on housing, retailing and economic development policy.
Since joining IDPartnership, Thérèse has successfully delivered planning permission for a wide range of award winning developments including the Middlemoor Retirement Community in Daventry, Blyth Beach Chalets, Eslington Sports Pavilion and the large-scale housing-led regeneration development ‘The Rise’, Newcastle which has won the national RTPI award for excellence in planning to deliver housing.
Thérèse provides planning advice for various public and private sector clients, including the preparation of planning applications, planning statements and leads on community consultation initiatives. Within IDPartnership Thérèse plays a key role in the writing and co-ordination of bid submissions.
