Project Description:

In September 2018, IDPartnership completed the expansion of Ecclesall Infant School in collaboration with Balfour Beatty for Sheffield City Council. The tender winning design proposal was carefully considered to ensure the new extensions and the existing building form one cohesive environment for learning.

By utilising the natural topography of the site, the proposal is able to reduce its impact on the local area by the use of a lower ground floor level, set within the hill and creating a unique design that truly belongs to the school and its community.The project was delivered on time and budget utilising BIM Level 2 standards and achieving a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.

In 2019, the project was shortlisted for a Construction Excellence Award (Yorkshire and Humber) for Integration and Collaborative Working.
