Project Description:

IDPartnership were appointed to develop designs to expand the hotel and leisure offer to attract longterm guests. The proposal includes new rooms, long stay suites, a gin bar, and bowling alley / new restaurant where you can eat, play table games and chill. The design is for four simple extensions to the rear responding to the residential context and local vernacular style of terraced properties. The project achieved planning approval in late 2016.

During 2017 and 2018 IDP have worked with the client and wider project team to develop the proposals further to meet the technical challenges of the site. Construction is started in late 2019.

 As the effects of covid-19 pandemic have been felt across the hospitality sector in 2020, IDP have worked with the Malhotra Group to explore options of how the block can be developed within the existing permission.
