Project Description:

IDPartnership prepared designs for this unique three bedroom executive home located within the Green Belt in Woolsington. The dwelling aims to carefully respect its woodland environment and draws upon a Dutch bungalow aesthetic.

Originally conceived as an extensive refurbishment of a dilapidated bungalow, IDP successfully gained planning approval for a new build property within the Newcastle Greenbelt, owing to its innovative and sustainable design.

The use of low eaves allows the building to reduce its presence, while also providing ample space for two large bedrooms with en-suites on the first floor and a large study / bedroom on the ground floor. The building has been cloaked in a dark, standing seam metal cladding and complimented with Siberian Larch to root the building within its woodland setting.

The home began construction in August 2018 completed in June 2019.

In 2020, haus12 Interiors were announced as a Designer Award 2020 winner for Kitchen Design of the Year (under £30K).
