Project Description:

IDP are continuing to work for New Tyne West Development Company (a joint venture between Newcastle City Council, and developers Barratt and Keepmoat), on the redevelopment of this 60-hectare brownfield site. Over five phases, the overall masterplan aims to deliver 1800 new homes of mixed type and tenure, with a focus on family housing. IDP are currently producing designs for the local centre which will include an extra care facility.

So far the development has won several awards, including the national RTPI Planning Excellence Award in 2015, under the ‘Excellence in Planning to Deliver Housing’ category.
